4 - Ingredients Sponge Cake Recipe


Perfect for birthdays, this is a foolproof and really easy chocolate cake recipe. It’s so moist and fudgy and will keep well for 4–5 days.Each serving provides 477 kcal, 6.5g protein, 56g carbohydrates (of which 40g sugars), 25g fat (of which 10.5g saturates), 2.5g fibre and 0.6g salt.
Dry Ingredients:
·         2cups all purpose Flour
·         1cup sugar

Wet Ingredients;
·         125 grams Butter
·         2 LargeEggs

Instructions:
·         Firstly pre-heat your oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4. Grease and line two 20cm/8in sandwich tins.
·         In a bowl sieve your flour .
·         In another bowl cream the butter and sugar together till pale and fluffy . You can do this by hand or white am electric mixer.
·         Add the eggs to the wet mixture one at a time and the mix till well combined .
·         Now add your flour and and fold it in till it is well combined. Your mixture must be at a dripping consistency , Raise your spatula or mixer and make a writing of the number 8 and watch how quickly it disappears into the batter. If it disappears as quickly as you drew it that means it ma a bit runny and will still make a fluffy and delicious sponge cake . 
·         Now pour your mixture into the tin pans and put them in your oven . Make sure you place your pans at the center of your oven , this will guarantee a well done cake.Bake for 20 minutes exactly.

You can enjoy your cake plain or you could add some nuts or frosting.
